Las Palmas confirm Etebo

Spanish La Liga side Las Palmas have confirmed the signing of Nigeria international Oghenekaro Etebo on a temporary basis, subject to a routine medical.

The 22-year-old joins Las Palmas on a five-month loan deal, with a purchase option inserted into the agreement.

Before his trip to the Canary Islands, Belgian club Racing Genk had explored the possibility of signing Etebo by offering him a four-year contract, but their proposal was rejected by Club Desportivo Feirense.

Etebo arrived in Spain last night and is due to undergo a medical with Las Palmas this afternoon at the Perpetuo Socorro Hospital.

If all goes well, he will be officially presented at 1900 hours,

Etebo scored four goals on his debut at the 2016 Olympic Games as Nigeria beat Japan 5-4.
